About the role#
As a Direct Investing Product and Strategy intern, you will join the team responsible for supporting the growth and optimization of client engagement. You will report to the Senior Manager of Client Engagement & Account Management. Your work will focus on identifying market trends, conducting competitive intelligence, and developing operational solutions to enhance the experience of self-directed investors.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of long, medium, and short-term strategic priorities for client engagement and experience.
- Gather and interpret data to understand leading industry practices in client interaction.
- Review and consolidate client problem resolution data to build plans that address specific opportunities and pain points.
- Analyze internal KPIs, client behaviours, attitudes, channel preferences, demographics, and values to inform engagement programs.
- Support the execution of client engagement programs and collaborate with marketing and data analytics teams to report on key learnings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program related to Business, Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, or Data Analytics.
- Proficiency in Excel, data querying, data processing, and visualization tools.
- Ability to create clear and compelling business presentations using PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information quickly.
- Capability to manage deadlines independently while multitasking across various projects.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 4-month internship starting in September 2026.
- The position is based on-site in Toronto, Ontario.
- Hours are Monday to Friday during standard business hours.
