About the role#
Taylor Corporation is hiring a Customer Service Intern in Bloomington, Illinois. This is a paid, part-time position designed for students to gain experience in a professional manufacturing environment. You will work with our customer service team to manage orders, communicate with clients, and support daily business operations. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Review customer and sales order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams through phone and email.
- Process orders and enter information into company systems.
- Investigate and resolve order discrepancies.
- Prepare production work orders for the manufacturing floor.
- Maintain customer and operational documentation.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing, shipping, and sales departments.
- Assist with administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment at an accredited college or university.
- Progress toward a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Graphic Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- A professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Location & details#
- Location: Bloomington, Illinois.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $17 per hour.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
