About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship program designed to prepare you for a career in store leadership. You will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working on-site at a Target store. Over the course of the summer, you will work closely with mentors and managers to understand how the retail business functions and how to lead effectively.
What you'll do#
- Learn how to drive guest experience and impact store performance.
- Work alongside a mentor to understand their leadership approach.
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve daily goals.
- Address team member concerns and remove operational hurdles.
- Provide summaries of results and priorities to the leadership team.
- Support daily operations, including stocking shelves and building displays.
- Partner with leaders to provide performance feedback to team members.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management.
- Leadership skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or Communications.

- Pay Range: $25.25 - $26.25 per hour.
