About the role#
This paid, full-time internship is a 40-hour-per-week training program designed to prepare you for a career in store leadership. You will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working alongside a mentor to understand how our retail business functions. You will spend your time leading team members, identifying business priorities, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.
What you'll do#
- Lead and motivate team members while building an inclusive and safe store culture.
- Drive sales results by merchandising products and aligning the team on daily business priorities.
- Work alongside your mentor to lead specific departments and support daily operations.
- Plan daily goals, organize tasks, and present at team huddles.
- Review business reports and guest insights to troubleshoot and improve performance.
- Coach and train team members, provide performance feedback, and address concerns.
- Greet guests, solve their needs, and ensure they feel welcome.
- Demonstrate a willingness to take strategic risks and recommend new solutions.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in retail management and leadership.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and a welcoming attitude.
- Ability to learn and adapt to store technology, including handheld scanners and communication devices.
- Capacity to interpret instructions and business reports.
- Ability to manage your workload and prioritize tasks.
- Physical ability to access all areas of the building, climb ladders, and frequently lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to handle cash register operations as needed.
- Reliable attendance and a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.

- Locations: Hyattsville, Easton, Frederick, La Plata, and Nottingham, Maryland.
- Compensation: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour.
