About the role#
The Reliability team at Tallgrass focuses on the availability and uptime of fixed and rotating equipment. As an intern, you will work with operations to prevent unplanned downtime and improve equipment performance. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop, execute, and learn maintenance initiatives driven by technology.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on rotating equipment like engines, compressors, motors, turbines, and pumps.
- Build and improve IotaView and PI dashboards.
- Manage document control for new reliability procedures.
- Use engineering principles to identify and address equipment reliability issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering program.
- An expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and system and vibration principles.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Lakewood, Colorado.
- The position follows a hybrid work model.
- The internship runs for 10 weeks from May to August 2027.
- Compensation is $26.18 to $37.09 per hour, with additional benefits including paid time off and a housing stipend.
