About the role#
Tallgrass is hiring for a Government & Public Affairs internship for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, temporary position based in either Houston, Texas, or Lakewood, Colorado. The role operates on a hybrid schedule and runs for 10 weeks from May through August.
What you'll do#
- Assist with content creation for public and stakeholder engagements, including the production of flyers, one-pagers, and background materials.
- Create and maintain community outreach lists that include legislators, local leaders, and state officials.
- Schedule meetings, track data, and provide support with note-taking during engagements.
- Research and draft internal subject matter summaries, policy issues, and newsletter segments.
- Assemble and distribute media clips to company leadership using our monitoring platform.
- Support digital and traditional communications, as well as advocacy and messaging campaigns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program for Business Administration, Communications, or Public Affairs.
- An expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and present data with high accuracy.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with a wide variety of people.
