About the role#
The Flow Assurance team is part of the Project Management Engineering Department. You will support the team as they perform hydraulic and flow assurance simulations for surface facilities, pipelines, and sequestration. This work supports system operations, engineering, and business development for decarbonization and clean energy projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn to use hydraulic and fluid property calculation software with mentorship from the team.
- Assist Flow Assurance Engineers by gathering data and information for simulations.
- Post-process simulation results and prepare presentations and reports.
- Attend relevant trainings and webinars.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or master’s program in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
- An expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Basic knowledge of fluid flow and thermodynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, VB Scripting, and Python.
- Completed coursework in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and transport phenomena is preferred.
- Experience with flow assurance software tools is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Houston, Texas.
- The program runs for 10 weeks during Summer 2027, from May through August.
- This position is paid, with an hourly range of $26.18 to $37.09. Total compensation may include paid time off and a housing stipend.
