About the role#
Syska Hennessy Group is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Summer Intern for our San Francisco office. This role offers hands-on experience working alongside our engineering teams on various projects. You will participate in our intern education program, which includes lunch-and-learn sessions and site visits to help you prepare for a career in engineering.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with the preparation of design documentation.
- Create mechanical system drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Help with design calculations and the sizing of building mechanical systems.
- Join engineers for field investigations and construction site visits to observe project progress.
- Participate in the intern education program lunch-and-learn sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical Engineering at an accredited university.
- Completion of at least your second year of study.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge of design and calculation software.
- Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the latest versions of MEP AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.

- Compensation: $26 to $28 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
