About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Mechanical Engineer Summer Intern position based in New York. You will work on-site during the summer of 2027 to gain hands-on experience by supporting engineering teams on project designs. The role includes participation in an intern education program that features lunch-and-learn sessions.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
- Create AutoCAD and Revit drawings for electrical systems.
- Help with design calculations and the sizing of building electrical systems.
- Support engineers during field investigations.
- Visit construction sites to observe project progress.
- Participate in intern education sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical Engineering at an accredited university.
- Completion of at least your second year of study.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite and design or calculation software.
- Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the latest versions of MEP AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
