About the role#
Syska Hennessy Group is hiring High School Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This position provides an introduction to MEP consulting design through shadowing and hands-on learning. You will work alongside engineers to understand how technical building systems are designed and maintained.
What you'll do#
- Shadow engineers as they prepare design documentation.
- Learn to use AutoCAD and Revit for MEP system drawings.
- Gain exposure to calculations and the sizing of building systems.
- Participate in field investigations or construction site visits when possible.
- Attend intern education program lunch-and-learn sessions to understand different aspects of the business.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a Junior in high school or a Freshman in college.
- Pursuit of a bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- A genuine interest in the engineering or STEM industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- A willingness to challenge yourself and expand your technical knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of design and calculation software.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
