About the role#
This is a full-time Production Engineering Co-op position based at a polymer manufacturing facility. You will support production operations, assist plant staff with troubleshooting, and contribute to process improvement projects. This role involves both independent work and collaboration within a team environment.
What you'll do#
- Support production activities at the polymer manufacturing facility.
- Assist plant staff in troubleshooting process problems.
- Generate or update standard operating procedures to reflect improvements and best practices.
- Investigate trends in quality and production parameters through data analysis.
- Develop Statistical Process Control tools to improve quality control of processes.
- Gather and analyze production process data to support the transition of new products from lab to industrial scale.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Basic understanding of material balances, chemistry, and thermodynamics.
- Strong data gathering and analysis skills.
- Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.
