About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Production Engineering Co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. Based at the Syensqo polymer manufacturing facility in West Deptford, New Jersey, this role requires on-site attendance. The position is open to students pursuing degrees in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Support daily production operations at the polymer manufacturing facility.
- Assist plant staff with troubleshooting process problems.
- Investigate trends in quality and production parameters through data analysis.
- Develop Statistical Process Control tools to improve quality control processes.
- Generate and update standard operating procedures to reflect best practices and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
- A basic understanding of material balances, chemistry, and thermodynamics.
- Strong skills in data gathering and analysis.
- A willingness to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
