About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join our engineering team to contribute to our travel, fintech, and membership platforms. You will work on services that handle thousands of requests per second and process significant daily sales volume. This position requires a full-time commitment and offers the opportunity to work on production-level code alongside our full-time developers.
What you'll do#
- Ship technically challenging projects end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, debugging, and testing.
- Write production-ready, well-tested code starting in your first week.
- Work across the full stack, including frontend, backend, services, caches, and databases.
- Perform experiments for features to remain data-driven and customer-focused.
- Contribute to business metrics and directly impact the user experience.
What you'll need#
- At least 8 months of web development experience, preferably in a startup or scaleup environment.
- Experience with a modern frontend JS framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Experience working with web servers and a strong interest in full-stack development.
- A track record of taking ownership and shipping features end-to-end.
- Ability to solve intricate problems with logical, well-reasoned solutions.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8th to December 18th).
- Modality: Remote within Canada.
- Availability: Must be available for a 40-hour work week with a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone.
- Compensation: CA$34.50 - CA$40.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Includes a home office setup allowance, weekly UberEats allowance, and allowances for learning, development, and fitness.
