About the role#
This is a 12-week internship program where you will work alongside professionals to gain hands-on experience in food labeling regulations, compliance, and claims review. You will contribute to projects that improve departmental accuracy while building your knowledge of regulatory processes and cross-functional teamwork.
What you'll do#
- Assess the regulatory framework of pending legislation and its impact on SunOpta products.
- Assist with daily operations such as label checks, claims review, and drafting documents.
- Research regulatory trends and requirements for new product claims.
- Provide regulatory insights to R&D and other teams regarding formulation and claims substantiation.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, Public Health, or a related field.
- You must be at least a junior in college. Graduate students are also eligible to apply.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

- This is a full-time, paid position located on-site at our office in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
- The internship runs for 12 weeks, from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
- The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.
