About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within a team of software engineers, architects, business analysts, and testers to design, develop, and implement technical solutions. This role is based in Waterloo, Ontario, and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to improve client experiences and internal processes.
- Learn mainframe programming skills including JCL, COBOL, PL1, IMS, and DB2.
- Develop your technical knowledge using tools like Zowe, VS Code, and GitHub Copilot.
- Create and update team artifacts while delivering value to the client.
- Grow your problem-solving and software development abilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.
- An expected graduation date of April 2027 or later.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ownership of your technical work.
- A keen appetite for learning new technologies and continuous self-improvement.
- Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban is considered an asset.
