About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Stryker, you will gain hands-on experience applying Lean Six Sigma principles within a medical equipment manufacturing environment. You will work closely with a mentor to support the identification, analysis, and implementation of process improvements. This is a paid, full-time position based in Redmond, Washington.
What you'll do#
- Support the identification, analysis, and implementation of improvements to current manufacturing processes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce defects, rework, or process escapes through mistake-proofing solutions.
- Evaluate current process risks and support the design or implementation of simple automation, sensing, or verification methods.
- Collaborate with design and operations teams to bring products to market efficiently.
- Participate in projects including fixture development, assembly line optimization, lean manufacturing implementation, and process validation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- This role is located on-site in Redmond, Washington.
- This is a rolling internship term.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
