About the role#
This internship provides exposure to orthopaedic instrument sales and field operations. You will work within the branch to understand the lifecycle of medical products, from the warehouse to the operating room. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 opportunity based in Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Shadow sales associates, representatives, and operations team members to learn branch functions.
- Develop a project segment, such as a target account list or a marketing strategy.
- Learn selling skills, sales processes, and instrument use techniques through coaching and mentorship.
- Assist team members with the delivery of instrument kits to and from accounts.
- Support warehouse operations by assembling and breaking down kits to prepare products for surgery.
- Collaborate with various teams on special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Communications.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA or above is preferred.
- Candidates must plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer term.
