About the role#
Strack, Inc. offers a work-based learning and internship program for students interested in the construction industry. You will gain hands-on experience while working under the guidance of our job site superintendents. We track your progress and document your milestones throughout the program. All work follows OSHA standards and labor laws.
What you'll do#
You will perform manual labor on construction projects. Your daily tasks include:
- Operating power tools and small equipment.
- Supporting crews during concrete pours.
- Loading, unloading, and distributing construction materials.
- Cleaning up rubble and debris to maintain a safe job site.
- Storing tools and equipment properly.
- Following all safety rules and reporting unsafe conditions to the foreman.
This role requires standing, walking, stooping, and bending throughout the day. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
What you'll need#
- You are at least 16 years old.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- A willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- You pay close attention to safety and follow instructions carefully.
Location & details#
This is a paid, on-site position located in Fairburn, Georgia. The schedule is Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, with occasional work on Saturdays as needed. Your specific schedule will be coordinated with the job site superintendent.
