About the role#
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will act as a consultative guide for students needing help with move-in, move-out, storage, and shipping services. You will join our Customer Experience Team to help customers understand and adopt our services. This is a part-time, seasonal internship.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from lead form submissions and incoming calls.
- Make proactive phone calls to existing and former customers to promote service usage.
- Provide service estimates via phone, SMS, and email.
- Guide customers through the online order portal to book moves.
- Promote service upgrades and additional offerings to customers.
- Generate referrals.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong sales aptitude.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- High emotional intelligence to work well with team members and clients.
- A strong phone presence.
- Ability to handle intense workloads and frequent changes.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software rapidly.
- 1 to 2 years of customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
- Students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- The role is part-time, averaging 15 to 25 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week between March and May.
- You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, during the peak season of March through September.
- This is a paid internship with a compensation range of $4,500 to $10,000 per year, consisting of base pay plus commission based on sales performance.
- The internship terms are Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
