About the role#
Storage Scholars is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Customer Experience team. In this role, you will act as a guide for students and families looking for moving, storage, and shipping solutions. This is a part-time, remote internship for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from website form submissions and phone calls.
- Call existing and former customers to promote our services.
- Provide service estimates through phone, SMS, and email.
- Help customers navigate our online portal to book their orders.
- Suggest service upgrades and additional offerings.
- Generate new customer referrals.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication skills and a natural aptitude for sales.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- High emotional intelligence to work well with clients and team members.
- Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- A strong phone presence.
- Ability to manage high workloads and shifting priorities.
- 1 to 2 years of customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, or similar fields is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- This is a paid, part-time role requiring 15 to 25 hours per week on average, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week between March and May.
- You must be available to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, during the peak season from March through September.
- Targeted dates for this internship are January 25, 2027, through August 1, 2027.
- Compensation includes base pay plus commission based on sales performance.
