About the role#
Storage Scholars is hiring an Inside Sales Representative for a part-time remote internship. This role supports our customer experience team by acting as a guide for students using our moving, storage, and shipping services. You will work 15 to 25 hours per week on average, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week between March and May. This position includes base pay plus commission.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from website forms and phone calls.
- Call existing and former customers to promote our services.
- Provide accurate service estimates via phone, SMS, and email.
- Help customers navigate our online portal to complete their bookings.
- Suggest service upgrades and additional options.
- Generate new customer referrals.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional communication skills and a natural sales aptitude.
- Strong critical thinking and the ability to manage changing priorities.
- A professional and clear phone presence.
- High emotional intelligence for interacting with clients and teammates.
- Technical proficiency and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- 1 to 2 years of customer-facing experience in fields like retail or hospitality is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in Wisconsin.
- The term runs from Winter 2027 through Summer 2027.
- You must be available for a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, during the peak season from March through September.
