About the role#
Storage Scholars is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Customer Experience Team. This part-time internship focuses on helping students navigate our moving, storage, and shipping services. You will act as a guide for customers, ensuring they understand our offerings and can easily complete their orders through our online portal.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from website forms and phone calls.
- Call existing and former customers to encourage continued service usage.
- Provide accurate service estimates via phone, SMS, and email.
- Assist customers as they move through the online booking process.
- Promote service upgrades and additional options.
- Generate new customer referrals.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong sales aptitude.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Comfort with high-volume workloads and changing priorities.
- A strong, professional phone presence.
- High emotional intelligence to connect with clients and team members.
- Tech-savviness and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
Location & details#
- This role is fully remote.
- This is a part-time position requiring 15 to 25 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week between March and May.
- You must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, during the peak season of March through September.
- The internship runs from January 2027 through August 2027.
- This is a paid position with base pay plus commission, totaling an estimated $4,500 to $10,000 per season.
