About the role#
Storage Scholars is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Customer Experience team. This is a part-time, remote internship for students interested in logistics and sales. You will serve as a consultative guide for college students and their families as they navigate our moving, storage, and shipping services.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from website form submissions and phone calls.
- Call existing and former customers to encourage service usage.
- Provide accurate service estimates via phone, SMS, and email.
- Assist customers through the online ordering process in our portal.
- Promote service upgrades and additional offerings.
- Generate new customer referrals.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional communication skills and a natural sales aptitude.
- Strong critical thinking and the ability to manage changing priorities.
- A professional and clear phone presence.
- High emotional intelligence to connect with clients and team members.
- Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Preferred: 1 to 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role like retail or hospitality.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing are preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- The role is seasonal, running from Winter 2027 through Summer 2027.
- Expect an average of 15 to 25 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours during the peak season from March to May.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, is required during the peak season of March through September.
- This is a paid internship.
