About the role#
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will act as a consultative guide for students and families using our moving, storage, and shipping services. You will join our Customer Experience Team to help customers understand and adopt our service offerings. This is a remote, part-time internship with a seasonal structure. You can expect to work 15 to 25 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours per week between March and May. You must be available to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends during our peak season from March through September.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from website forms and phone calls.
- Call existing and former customers to promote our services.
- Provide service estimates through phone, SMS, and email.
- Help customers navigate our online portal to book their orders.
- Promote service upgrades and additional options.
- Generate referrals from satisfied customers.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong sales aptitude.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Experience handling shifting priorities and high workloads.
- A strong, professional phone presence.
- High emotional intelligence to connect with clients and team members.
- Tech-savviness and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Preferred: 1 to 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
Location & details#
- This role is fully remote.
- Compensation ranges from $4,500 to $10,000 per year, based on a combination of base pay and performance-based commissions.
- The internship terms are Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
