About the role#
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will act as a guide for customers using our student moving, storage, and shipping services. You will join our Customer Experience Team to help users understand and adopt our service offerings. This is a part-time, seasonal internship running from January 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Respond to inbound leads from web forms and phone calls.
- Call existing and former customers to promote our services.
- Provide accurate service estimates via phone, SMS, and email.
- Assist customers through the online booking process in our portal.
- Suggest service upgrades and additional options to customers.
- Generate new referrals for the business.
What you'll need#
- Strong sales aptitude and clear communication skills.
- Critical thinking abilities and high emotional intelligence.
- A professional phone presence.
- Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Resilience when managing shifting priorities and high workloads.
- 1 to 2 years of customer-facing experience, such as retail or hospitality, is preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
Location & details#
- This role is fully remote.
- You will work 15 to 25 hours per week, with potential for up to 40 hours per week between March and May.
- Expect to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends during the peak season from March through September.
- Compensation includes a base pay plus commission, with estimated seasonal earnings between $4,500 and $10,000.
