About the role#
As an Inbound Sales Specialist, you will act as a consultative guide for students and families navigating our moving, storage, and shipping services. You will join our Customer Experience Team to help customers understand and adopt our service offerings. This is a part-time, remote internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Field inbound leads from lead form submissions and incoming calls.
- Make proactive phone calls to existing and former customers to promote service usage.
- Provide service estimates via phone, SMS, and email.
- Guide customers through the order flow in our online portal.
- Promote additional services, service upgrades, and generate referrals.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong sales aptitude.
- Strong critical thinking abilities.
- A strong phone presence.
- High emotional intelligence to work effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to handle intense workloads and adjust to changes.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Preferred: 1 to 2 years of customer-facing experience in fields like retail or hospitality.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
Location & details#
- This role is fully remote.
- The internship runs during the Winter and Summer of 2027.
- This is a paid position offering base pay plus commission.
- Expect to work 15 to 25 hours per week on average, with the possibility of up to 40 hours per week between March and May.
- You must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends during the peak season of March through September.
