Stikeman Elliott LLP is seeking a Director, Articling Student Programs to join the Talent Management team in Toronto. This role focuses on the career development and engagement of articling students while collaborating with the Students Committee and firm management. You will have exposure to associate programs and work with various groups of timekeepers within the firm.
What you'll do#
- Oversee career development and engagement initiatives for articling students.
- Assist with the student recruitment process.
- Develop and implement professional development programs for legal professionals.
- Manage large-scale projects and handle multiple competing priorities.
- Collaborate with firm management and various timekeeper groups.
What you'll need#
- A law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- At least 6 years of experience practicing law or working in talent management at a large law firm.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with strong professional judgment.
- Proficiency in written and oral presentation.
- Demonstrated aptitude and interest in mentoring and training others.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively and diplomatically.
