About the role#
Starr offers a 10-week summer internship program for students interested in the property and casualty insurance industry. You will work alongside experienced managers and mentors to gain practical experience in a corporate environment. This program is designed to help you understand different career paths within the company.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to core functions such as Claims, Underwriting, Audit, IT, Marketing, or HR.
- Support daily business needs while learning how the insurance industry operates.
- Participate in an intensive training program to build professional skills like communication and networking.
- Complete a final Capstone project to present your key takeaways and knowledge gained throughout the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program, with a preference for Risk Management or Insurance majors.
- Ability to work effectively in a corporate workplace.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Interest in fields such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or Human Resources.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Houston, Addison, or Dallas, Texas.
