About the role#
We are looking for a Water Resources Intern to join our team in Chandler, Arizona for the summer of 2027. This full-time position offers hands-on experience working alongside our design staff on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will contribute to project documentation, technical studies, and planning efforts while gaining exposure to real-world engineering practices.
What you'll do#
- Support local design staff with data collection, organization, and research.
- Perform calculations and create charts using Excel or hydraulic modeling software.
- Help develop plans and exhibits using CADD and GIS software.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on various water resources projects.
- Assist with the preparation of design documents, permit applications, and technical memoranda.
- Manage drawing sets and maintain electronic data files.
- Take part in occasional field work activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program, specifically in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for business and presentation settings.
- High attention to detail.
- A willingness to assist full-time staff with diverse tasks.
- Flexibility and a desire to learn new skills.
