About the role#
Stantec is hiring interns for the Urban Mobility Planning Group for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in either Minneapolis, Minnesota, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will support transportation projects through planning, design, and data analysis.
What you'll do#
- Assist with system-level transportation plans and corridor studies.
- Help facilitate public outreach events.
- Perform entry-level planning and design tasks.
- Edit reports using Word and Adobe InDesign.
- Create conceptual site designs and graphics in Adobe Illustrator.
- Conduct technical writing and summarize project notes.
- Analyze tabular data and prepare summary reports.
- Create maps and analyze data using ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Planning, Design, or Engineering.
- A concentration or strong interest in transportation planning.
- Experience with ArcGIS Desktop, AutoCAD, or Microstation.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator.
- A valid driver license.
- Strong research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new software and web platforms quickly.
- A self-motivated and organized approach to work.
