About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Engineering student to join our Transportation Roadway Engineering group in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside experienced practitioners on various infrastructure projects. This position requires you to work on-site in our Lexington office.
What you'll do#
- Develop roadway plans using OpenRoads software.
- Handle project documentation and perform quantity calculations.
- Complete general office assignments using Microsoft Office tools.
- Participate in occasional field work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as the role requires driving a company vehicle at times.
- Experience with OpenRoads is preferred.
