About the role#
Stantec offers technical internships across various disciplines, including buildings, energy, mining, transportation, community development, water, and environmental services. These roles provide hands-on experience in a professional consulting environment. You will work on projects that impact infrastructure and community development. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Participate in design and planning for architectural and engineering projects.
- Support project managers in the strategy, planning, and implementation of complex infrastructure projects.
- Conduct field exploration and laboratory testing for geotechnical projects.
- Assist in the development of renewable energy solutions and electric grid modernization.
- Collaborate on sustainable building design and urban planning initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Environmental Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- A drive for sustainable design and engineering solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Interest in digital transformation and infrastructure development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a drive for excellence.
Location & details#
- These roles are available in multiple locations across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
- Work modality includes remote, hybrid, or on-site options depending on the specific office location.
