About the role#
This summer internship provides an opportunity to work on local building projects under the guidance of senior engineers and designers. You will support the team on smaller tasks and contribute to larger project efforts. The role involves a mix of office-based design work and site visits.
What you'll do#
- Produce CADD drawings for various projects.
- Assist with mechanical design tasks, including building load calculations, equipment layouts, and ductwork.
- Perform field work, such as evaluating existing sites, as directed by senior staff.
- Support engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by the senior engineering team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Proficiency in CADD, with a basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work effectively within a project team.
- Willingness to follow established processes, take direction, and accept feedback from senior staff.
