    About the role#

    StandardAero is hiring an Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Hillsboro, Ohio. This role offers hands-on experience in aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul. You will work directly with our engineering staff to solve technical problems and improve our operational processes.

    What you'll do#

    • Research new programs and initiatives, then compile and present your findings.
    • Conduct failure analysis and investigations.
    • Evaluate efficiency to streamline programs or reduce costs.
    • Perform studies or surveys and analyze the results.
    • Design tooling or ground support equipment.
    • Compile employee manuals and develop process directions for specific tasks.
    • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for material or machine upgrades.
    • Maintain and update databases.
    • Execute continuous improvement projects that lead to measurable results.

    What you'll need#

    • Completion of at least two years of an engineering degree, such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
    • Experience with CAD and simulation software.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and sit for extended periods.
    • U.S. Citizenship.
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles is helpful.
    • A Lean Green Belt certification or prior manufacturing project experience is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site, full-time, paid position based in Hillsboro, Ohio.
    • The role follows a rolling term schedule.
    • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
