About the role#
This is a paid research internship offered through the Koch Internship Program. You will work with Citizens Against Government Waste to gain hands-on experience by supporting their daily operations and policy work. The program offers flexibility in scheduling and allows you to work remotely.
What you'll do#
- Assist in formulating policy papers and collecting data for original investigative studies.
- Research and write for annual publications, including the Congressional Pig Book, Prime Cuts, and Government WasteWatch eNews.
- Work on special projects and issue briefs, with the opportunity to initiate your own projects.
- Participate in staff meetings and events to learn how Washington functions.
- Perform clerical duties as needed alongside substantive research tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are an undergraduate student, graduate student, law student, recent graduate, or early-career professional.
- You are authorized to work in the United States.
- A background in Political Science, Economics, Public Health, or a related field is helpful.

- The internship takes place during Winter 2027.
- This is a full-time position.
