About the role#
The Taxpayers Protection Alliance Foundation is looking for a part-time Digital Media Intern to join its communications team. This role supports the organization's public education efforts regarding government spending and taxation. You will work on-site in Washington, D.C. as part of the Koch Internship Program.
What you'll do#
- Draft creative content for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, including rapid response posts and video curation.
- Assist the VP of Communications with press releases and media advisories.
- Maintain and update press contact lists for national and state media outlets.
- Identify and share social media trends to help increase audience engagement.
- Create graphic design materials for the organization.
- Attend events in Washington, D.C. to promote the brand and manage live-tweeting.
What you'll need#
- An interest in economic and regulatory policy.
- A commitment to free-market economics and limited government.
- Strong writing skills.
- Previous experience in digital media is preferred but not required.
