About the role#
The Campus Freedom Intern supports the American Council of Trustees and Alumni in its mission to reform higher education. You will work directly with the Paul & Karen Levy Fellow in Campus Freedom to help higher education leaders and the public understand the value of free expression and viewpoint diversity on college campuses.
What you'll do#
- Analyze academic policies regarding free speech, academic freedom, and diversity of thought.
- Provide research support for reports and policy recommendations, including those related to the ACTA Gold Standard.
- Update university information on the website using the ACTA Gold Standard for Freedom of Expression.
- Assist with research and writing tasks for the Paul & Karen Levy Fellow in Campus Freedom.
- Draft letters and statements in response to campus freedom issues.
- Monitor news in higher education and update the team on relevant developments.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate, graduate, or law students, or recent graduates.
- A principled, organized, and highly motivated approach to your work.
- A commitment to personal responsibility, accountability, and honesty.
