About the role#
St. Luke's University Health Network is offering a full-time Critical Care Internship/Fellowship for the Fall 2026 cohort. This competency-based program is designed to support the transition from novice to advanced beginner through a combination of seminars, workshops, supervised hands-on training, simulation, and clinical observations. Participants will receive clinical preceptorship and training in areas such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and AACN Essential of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO).
What you'll do#
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients by assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, evaluating, and documenting the effects of care.
- Work cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all materials and ensure the proper release of information.
- Demonstrate competency in patient assessment, treatment, and communication appropriate to the patient's age.
What you'll need#
- Nursing students with prospective Spring, Summer, or Winter graduation dates who will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX and obtain licensure before the start of the internship.
- A minimum 3.2 overall GPA at the time of application, or a confirmed Senior Practicum in an ICU.
- Experienced Registered Nurses who have not previously worked in a critical care setting.
- Current BLS certification.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid position.
- Opportunities are available at multiple campuses, including Allentown, Bethlehem, Coaldale, Easton, Lehighton, Orwigsburg, Quakertown, Sellersville, and Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
