About the role#
Join the SPX Technologies Product Management team for a summer 2027 internship. You will gain hands-on experience supporting new product initiatives and value engineering projects. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to help bring new products to market.
What you'll do#
- Assist with value add and value engineering projects to find cost-saving opportunities and improve product marketability.
- Support the development of product documentation, brochures, presentations, and tools.
- Conduct market and competitive research to help define value-added product features.
- Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and operations teams to track project timelines and update schedules.
- Contribute to initiatives involving customer experience, IT systems, metrics tracking, and product positioning.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
- A cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with CAD tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks, or data visualization software.
- Interest in product development, value engineering, and lifecycle management.
- Prior experience in customer service, office administration, or student leadership.
- High school diploma or GED.

- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Physical requirements: Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and keyboarding. The role may require working outside normal business hours.
