About the role#
The Marketing Insights Intern will support the Insights Team with daily operations while leading an Emerging Brands Radar project. You will identify new brands, categories, and verticals that signal growth opportunities or competitive threats. This role involves using primary and secondary research to size market opportunities and evaluate their relevance to our brands, capabilities, and channels. It is a position for a student who enjoys spotting patterns, researching new markets, and translating data into recommendations for long-term strategy.
What you'll do#
- Research fast-growing areas across home décor, window coverings, smart home, and adjacent industries.
- Identify the consumer needs, trends, technologies, and business models driving growth in these spaces.
- Use primary and secondary research to inform ideas about market potential and consumer preferences.
- Evaluate which emerging spaces align with our brands and business channels.
- Surface white-space opportunities for innovation, partnerships, or new product development.
- Build a forward-looking view to help the company anticipate market direction.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Market Research, Consumer Behavior, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize findings.
- Conceptual thinking skills and curiosity about consumer trends and market dynamics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple research streams and priorities at once.
- Coursework or project experience in market research, consumer insights, or competitive analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with syndicated data or research tools and experience with surveys or focus groups is a plus.
- Interest in the home décor, window coverings, or consumer products industries.
