About the role#
The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes are seeking interns to help prepare for the 2027 season. This role offers experience in the sports industry through a variety of administrative, operational, and promotional tasks.
What you'll do#
- Manage team merchandise including restocking, online orders, inventory tracking, and offseason store organization.
- Support community outreach by assisting with events and mascot appearances.
- Help plan and coordinate the 2027 promotional schedule.
- Assist front office staff with daily administrative duties.
- Support stadium operations and post-season cleanup.
- Work on graphic design projects and social media management.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-energy service environment.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in Springfield, Illinois.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship, though commission opportunities exist for sales made by the intern.
- Schedule: Hours are flexible based on academic requirements and mutual agreement.
