About the role#
As a Student Optician, you will support customers in finding the right eyewear solutions. You will work alongside our retail and clinical teams to provide personalized service and ensure high standards for every customer. This is a full-time position for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Help customers understand their visual needs and interpret optical prescriptions from eye care professionals.
- Provide guidance on frame and lens selection to ensure comfort, fit, and optimal vision.
- Use digital tools to perform dispensing measurements and conduct quality assurance checks on finished eyewear.
- Keep up to date on product knowledge including frames, lenses, and current promotions to educate customers.
- Handle after-care services and resolve customer complaints using effective problem-solving.
- Support daily store operations, including inventory management and maintaining brand standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Opticianry post-secondary program in your province.
- At least 2 years of prior customer service experience, ideally within an optical dispensary.
- Ability to work effectively in a retail environment.
- Reliability and flexibility to work required retail hours.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

- Hours: 25-40 hours per week, with weekend availability required.
