About the role#
As a Student Optician, you will play a key role in helping customers see and feel their best. You will guide them through eyewear choices, ensuring every pair of glasses is tailored for comfort, style, and function. Under the supervision of a Licensed Optician, you will collaborate with retail and clinical teams to provide personalized advice and maintain high service standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist customers in understanding their visual needs and interpreting optical prescriptions.
- Provide personalized guidance on frame and lens selection to ensure optimal vision and fit.
- Perform accurate dispensing measurements using digital tools and conduct quality assurance checks.
- Manage after-care services, including resolving customer concerns.
- Support contact lens recommendations and promotions.
- Handle third-party billing and contribute to daily store operations, including inventory management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Opticianry post-secondary program.
- At least 2 years of previous customer service experience, preferably in an optical dispensary environment.
- Ability to thrive in a retail environment while staying organized under pressure.
- A friendly, outgoing, and confident demeanor.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

- Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week, including weekends.
