About the role#
This is a 9-week internship program based in Dallas, Texas. It is part of a neurodiversity hiring initiative. The role is fully on-site, requiring candidates to be within a commutable distance to the office. You will work Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional weekend work possible during maintenance cycles. This position is open to individuals who self-identify as neurodivergent and have faced employment barriers. You will receive ongoing workplace support from Specialisterne throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Solve complex problems and build high-performance applications for a global user base.
- Develop and deploy modern data management tools to organize client reference data and workflows.
- Engineer data processing pipelines and identify opportunities for automation.
- Partner with data platform teams to implement cloud-based processing and distribution.
- Drive strategic initiatives and deliver key programs within the data departments.
- Evaluate and acquire internal or external data sets to support business decisions.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Intermediate programming skills in Java, Python, React, or SQL.
- Basic knowledge of complex business processes and data flows.
- Familiarity with version control using Git and basic data modeling with tools like Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, AGILE methodology, code reviews, or testing frameworks is helpful but not required.
