About the role#
Asure is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join the Research and Development team. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional IT environment with mentorship from experienced professionals. You will work on projects involving Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule of 20 or more hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Support data science and AI projects within an AWS cloud environment.
- Help troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist IT staff with daily operations, system updates, and maintenance.
- Install, configure, and test software.
- Provide technical support to employees by resolving basic IT queries.
- Document IT processes and maintain system logs.
- Work with the development and security teams on various projects.
- Apply best practices in IT support and administration.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Prior experience or coursework in Data Science or Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is remote.
- Compensation is $15 to $18 per hour.
- The internship term is rolling.
