About the role#
Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking an Engineering Assistant to support the development of tactical sensor technologies. You will focus on radar systems and RF hardware engineering, gaining experience across the full development lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Design, model, and select components for hardware projects.
- Manage the procurement, assembly, integration, and testing of hardware.
- Perform data analysis and troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Support flight testing operations for radar systems.
- Participate in the Student Scholar Program, which includes technical workshops and outreach activities.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student at Utah State University pursuing a degree in electrical engineering with at least one year of school remaining.
- You must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Interest or experience in electronics, computers, robotics, electromagnetics, digital logic, remote sensing, MATLAB, or C++.
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
