About the role#
Leonardo DRS is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern for our facility in Bridgeton, Missouri. This position offers hands-on experience in manufacturing, product quality, and supplier quality. You will support the Quality Engineering team by ensuring consistent standards and coordinating across engineering and manufacturing departments. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Review and validate supplier First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for accuracy and compliance.
- Create detailed Inspection Checklists to support quality and manufacturing processes.
- Develop Quality Assurance Instructions (QAI) to guide inspection and verification activities.
- Provide support to EATC Manufacturing and Quality teams as directed by Quality Management.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers to ensure consistent application of quality standards.
- Assist in maintaining documentation and records for audits and quality reviews.
- Identify and communicate quality issues or process gaps.
What you'll need#
- Currently a Junior or above in a Bachelor’s program in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to review technical documents.
- Basic understanding of quality principles, testing methods, or engineering processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
