About the role#
International Student Services is hiring a student worker to serve as an I-Team Front Desk Assistant. Based in the Green Center, you will act as the primary point of contact for visitors, students, and alumni. This role offers experience in event planning, digital communication, and office operations while supporting the international student community at SNHU.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors in person and over the phone, answering general questions and directing individuals to campus resources.
- Assist ISS staff by accepting and distributing mail and organizing program supplies.
- Help the ISS Associate Director with signature events, including planning, execution, and cleanup.
- Design flyers and develop social media campaigns to increase engagement.
- Participate in new student check-ins and orientations, which includes scanning immigration documents and leading campus tours.
- Maintain the professional appearance of the front office and shared spaces.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an on-campus student at SNHU.
- Availability for shifts Monday through Friday between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
- Specific availability on Tuesdays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Fridays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- Competency with standard office equipment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student documents.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Location & details#
- Work is on-site in New Hampshire.
- This is a part-time position requiring approximately 10 to 15 hours per week.
- The role is paid, with an hourly rate between $13.00 and $15.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
