About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within the Office of General Counsel at South Jersey Industries, gaining experience in an in-house legal setting. You will work alongside attorneys, paralegals, and outside counsel. The role includes regular meetings with an assigned mentor and organizational leaders to support your professional development.
What you'll do#
- Support legal matters involving corporate law, governance, litigation, employment and labor law, utility and construction, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Conduct legal research and analysis relevant to business operations and the Board of Directors.
- Attend hearings and write summary reports.
- Assist with litigation discovery, contracts administration, and document workflow.
- Review and revise internal company policies with business stakeholders.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project and present your findings to the Executive Leadership Team.
What you'll need#
- You must be a rising 3L at an accredited law school.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to exercise good judgment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- This position is based in Folsom, New Jersey.
- The role follows a hybrid work schedule.
- You must be available to work Monday through Friday during daytime business hours.
