About the role#
The Finance Intern will join the Financial Planning & Analysis team to assist with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business analysis. This 11-week summer program provides hands-on experience in corporate finance, allowing you to apply classroom knowledge to professional business tasks. You will work with finance professionals and cross-functional partners to support data-driven decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including analysis of actual results against budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in preparing monthly forecasts, the annual budget, and long-term financial projections.
- Gather, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from various sources.
- Build and maintain financial models, schedules, and management reporting materials.
- Perform research and ad hoc analysis to help explain performance drivers.
- Identify ways to improve reporting processes through standardization and automation.
- Create clear summaries, charts, and presentations for management review.
- Complete finance and administrative assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work well both independently and in a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with formulas, pivot tables, charts, or financial modeling is preferred.
- Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis is a plus.
