About the role#
As an Engineering Design Intern with Elizabethtown Gas, you will support Design Engineers on various projects. This 11-week summer program provides hands-on experience in natural gas distribution while offering mentorship, educational seminars, and networking opportunities within the SJI community.
What you'll do#
- Collect, research, and interpret existing facility records.
- Design various natural gas distribution projects.
- Create construction plans using AutoCAD.
- Visit construction sites to observe field operations.
- Organize project documentation and analyze data.
- Handle special projects and assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2 years of coursework toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- A major in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Proficiency with PC-based applications.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
